Henry Mainwaring was born in the Parish of St. George, Hanover Square, in 1827. He entered the service of Queen Victoria on 19 March 1840. Appointed Coachman on 1 July 1864 and State Coachman in 1890. Pensioned on 16 June 1890. He was awarded the Faithful Service Medal in 1883.
