Waterloo 1815 (Francis Clarkson, 2nd Batt. 69th Reg. Foot.) fitted with original steel clip and ring suspension, edge bruising and contact wear, therefore good fine £1600-1800

Francis Clarkson was born in the Parish of Everton, Nottingham, and enlisted into the 69th Foot on 4 December 1811, aged twenty-three. He was discharged at Colchester on 10 July 1816, in consequence of ‘having received a Gun Shot of left knee joint in action with the enemy at Quatre Bras on the 16th day of June 1815’. Sold with copied discharge papers.
