Ernest Clements Seadman was born in East Greenwich, Kent on 12 February 1891 and entered the Royal Navy in August 1909. Attained the rank of Stoker Petty Officer in April 1918. During the Great War he served on the destroyers Bulldog, April 1914-May 1916, and Mosquito, 1 July 1916-July 1917, and the cruiser Chatham, October 1917-July 1918. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. when on the battleship Marlborough.
With Princess Mary’s Christmas tin (empty); a Silver War Badge (390225); a ‘bullet’ pencil; small silver ‘Jutland’ commemorative medal; other medals (2); together with copied service paper. .
Able Seaman King was awarded the L.S. & G.C. medal on the battleship Ramillies.
