Edward I (1272-1307), New coinage, Penny, class 8b, Bury St Edmunds, reads vila sci edm vndi, 1.35g/9h (SCBI North 333; N 1034; S 1406). Nearly very fine, very rare £100-150
This does not appear to be from the normal 8b obverse die used at Bury which has a distinctive flaw over the crown. More remarkable is the spelling and spacing of the reverse legend, which is not represented in the North Sylloge
