Notts Militia (Royal Sherwood Forresters) Officers’ Mess Dinner Plate. A fine and rare example of rococo outline (24 cms), the obverse decorated overall in variable shades of blue with floral heads and sprays, in the centre a shield bearing the arms of the City of Nottingham with a scroll above ‘Notts Militia’. The reverse is devoid of any markings, c. 1840 - 60, excellent condition £200-300
