Princess Victoria’s (Royal Irish Fusiliers) Officer’s Waist Belt Clasp c. 1881 - 1882. An extremely rare example of special pattern, the gilt centre mounted with a similar fused grenade the ball of which is a silver eagle (heavily worn), in the surround ‘Royal Irish Fusiliers’ and shamrock sprays, the side panels feature the Harp and Maid and shamrock sprays, matching benchmarks (Ryan 233), good condition apart from the defect mentioned £200-300
