Jamaica, The Jamaica Preceptory, 1909, a Founders jewel by Spencer & Co, a silver and enamel cross with applied central shield of a red cross, set with five pineapples, on white, hallmarked 1910, 46 x 39mm. Good very fine, dark tone; with tattered ribbon and founder clasp, in case of issue £100-150

Provenance: Henry Christensen Auction 89 (New York), 19-20 April 1984, lot 1750.

The founder and first Preceptor was the Worshipful Brother the Revd Francis Bavin, District Grand Chaplain of Craft and Mark Freemasons. Sold with a March 1985 letter from Raymond Brandon detailing some background history and suggesting the Lodge would have had between 8 and 15 founding members
