The 14 parts in 3 volumes. 4to, brown half leather, marbled boards, navy leather labels on spine with gilt lettering. Numerous superb illustrations: Vol. 1: Bedfordshire to Norfolk. (5), pp.1-216, signatures of Dalton and Waters, photographs of Dalton, Hamer, Waters and Hill on free end papers, Waters’ bookplate and a circular dated 1909 to token collectors from Dalton regarding his proposal to publish ‘a work with illustrations of every piece, if possible’; Vol. 2: Northampton to Yorkshire, Anglesey and Wales, Scotland. (3), pp.217-455, some newspaper cuttings tipped in. Vol. 3: Ireland, Addenda. vi, pp.457-567, a number of items bound in including letters to Waters from W.J. Davis and James Atkins, and Glendining’s Catalogue of Tokens to be sold by Hamer’s executors in 1930 in 802 lots, green wrapper, 59pp, 10 plates, priced.
