Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Relief of Ladysmith, South Africa 1901 (958 Cpl. J. Molloy, 1st Connaught Rang.) good very fine £120-160
John Molloy was born in 1870 and attested on 3 July 1884. He was discharged at Ballyshannon on 2 July 1905 at the termination of his second period of service. A member of the Regimental Band, he served for 21 years, of which 7 years, 166 days were in India and 308 days in South Africa. Molloy was awarded the Queen’s medal with three clasps and the Army L.S. & G.C. He died on 8 December 1905.
