Lieutenant Charles Eric Hemmerde, M.C., 6th Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment, was killed in action on 27 September 1918, aged 22 years. He was buried in the Gouzeaucourt New British Cemetery. He was the son of Charles Louis Hemmerde and Maud Hemmerde of 38 Braemar Avenue, Wimbledon Park, Wimbledon, London, and husband of Mitzie Hemmerde.
