John McMahon was born, lived and enlisted at Dundee, Scotland. Serving with the 1st Battalion Connaught Rangers, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 22 September 1915, aged 26 years. He was buried in the Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery, Souchez, Pas de Calais, France. He was the son of Mr and Mrs John McMahon, of 15 Lorimer Street, Dundee.
