Lance-Corporal William Lyon, Royal Highlanders (Black Watch), entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 13 August 1914. He was not entitled to a clasp for his 1914 Star. Serjeant Lyon was severely wounded in February 1915 and was as a result discharged on 18 August 1915. He was awarded the Silver War Badge (not with lot). With copied m.i.c.
