M.S.M. London Gazette 3 March 1919. ‘... in recognition of valuable services rendered with the British Forces in Mesopotamia’.
Sapper George Herbert Clarke Lewis, Royal Engineers, entered the Egypt theatre of war on 17 September 1915. He later served in Mesopotamia where he gained the M.S.M. He was transferred to Army Class ‘Z’ Reserve on 13 May 1919. With riband bar which has M.I.D. emblem - this not confirmed. With copied m.i.c. and roll extracts.
