William Comerford was born in the Parish of Athy, County Kildare, and enlisted into the 32nd Regiment on 26 June 1803, aged 20. He served for 9 years 345 days and was discharged on 6 June 1813, in consequence of a ‘Gun shot wound of his left hand and arm at Salamanca, 23 July 1812’. Sold with copy discharge papers.
