Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Delhi (W. Vince, 1st Bn. 60th Rifles) with ornate silver brooch bar, suspension slack, slight edge bruising and contact marks, about very fine £260-300
William Vince was born in Thruxton, Hampshire in about 1836. A Servant by occupation, he enlisted into the 60th Rifles on 30 June 1856, aged 21 years. With the unit he served in the suppression of the Indian Mutiny, serving at Meerut and Delhi. Invalided to England, he was discharged sick on 19 June 1861, dying in December the following year. Sold with a quantity of copied records and other research.
