M.M. London Gazette 18 July 1919.
James Hobson, from Chapel Allerton, Leeds, entered the Balkan theatre of war on 20 May 1915, as a Private in the R.A.M.C. Subsequently transferring to the K.R.R.C., he was awarded the M.M. for bravery during the advance on the Maubeuge-Avesnes Road during November 1918 - one of the main problems of the advance being the extreme fatigue felt by the men due to the rapid advance and the distance covered.
