Marcus Kenneth Matthews served in the ranks of the Auxiliary Air Force. He was appointed in October 1946 to an Emergency Commission in the R.A.F.V.R. as a Pilot Officer and was posted to the R.A.F. Regiment. Awarded the Air Efficiency Award by A.M.O. 478 of June 1947 where he is listed as a Pilot Officer, R.A.F.V.R. Sold with some copied research.
