Butt served on the Baltic Ferry during the Falkland War. The vessel was a ‘Ro-Ro’ ferry requisitioned from Townsend Thoreson, and carried part of the 5th Infantry Brigade and 656 Squadron Scout Helicopters into the conflict zone.
