The King’s Royal Rifle Corps Colonel’s Khaki Tunic, the post WWI tunic of Colonel Humphrey Butler complete with KRRC lanyard buttons and shoulder insignia and scarlet cloth and cord Staff Officer’s gorget tabs three rows of medal ribbons, brown leather Sam Browne belt; together with a green cloth KRRC mess jacket, this with scarlet cloth and black lace cuffs, retailed by Welsh & Jefferies Duke St. St. James’s. and named to Major H Butler July 1930; an officer’s khaki service dress cap (1955) with KC KRRC buttons and scarlet cord boss and bugle horn badge. Colonel Humphrey Butler C.V.O., M.V.O., M.C. & Bar etc. He was an Equerry to the late Duke of Kent and he and his wife were friends of the Prince of Wales (later Duke of Windsor) and Mrs. Wallis Simpson. He died in 1953.
