An ornate presentation Gurkha Kukri, 31cm plated blade of typical form, polished horn hilt with plated fittings, lions head to pommel, wood scabbard covered with red felt, mounted with good quality pierced and embossed silver mounts incorporating crossed kukris, a tiger, a Gurkha soldier etc the top mount containing a presentation inscription ‘ Presented to Major G. McK. Macdonald 2 GR by QGOS mess TCBG 10th. July 1971’ complete with two by-knives in fitted scabbard pocket, together with a smaller plain kukri presented to the same recipient top mount engraved ‘Presented by Lt (QGO) B.B. Thapa 1/2 GR to Major J. McK. Macdonald 2nd KEO Gurkha Rifles’ good condition (2) £80-100
