An Indian Tulwar, the curved 67cm blade having single shallow fuller struck with an armourer’s mark at the forte, characteristic iron hilt covered with intricate repeat floral patterns in silver koftghari, complete with its wood scabbard covered with faded dark green velvet with small plain silver chape, blade with some light rust marking otherwise good condition overall £350-400
By family repute brought back from India by Major-General (later Field Marshal Sir, G.C.B.) John Michel, C.B., after the Central India campaign of 1858-59.
