A.P.M. Nyasaland Government Gazette 31 December 1930.

Chiwadasi was a native of Nyasaland who became a soldier and served in the King’s African Rifles. As a Private he took part in the Ashanti campaign of 1900, for which he received the medal without clasp. He also received the Africa General Service medal with two clasps, B.C.A. 1899-1900, and Somaliland 1902-04. All three medals were advertised for sale in Seaby’s Bulletin of January 1947, but in the Bulletin of February 1949 the A.P.M. was listed in one item and the two campaign medals in another. Chiwadasi afterwards joined the Nyasaland Police Force and was a 2nd Grade Sergeant at the time of being awarded the African Police Medal for Meritorious Service in December 1930.
