Constantine Meunier (1831-1905), painter and sculptor from Etterbeek; he ranked, according to a note by Tristan Leclerc published posthumously in Revue universelle, 1905, among the ‘premier rang non seulement des sculpteurs belges’, following in the manner of Auguste Rodin and Jules Dalou
