A.J.D.D. are the initials of the Revd. Alex J.D. D'Orsey (†1894), an English master at the school from 1834-54, who was ordained a priest in 1847 and was subsequently appointed chaplain and lecturer in English history at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, in 1860; from 1864 to 1890 he lectured at King's College, London
