Defective medal: Indian Mutiny 1857-59 (A. Walker, 78th Highlanders), lacks suspension, signs of brooch mounting to rev., edge bruising, nearly very fine £200-250

In the published roll there are two ‘Alexander Walkers’ listed for the 78th Highlanders; ‘Privates 1931 and 2763’, both entitled to the Indian Mutiny Medal with clasps for ‘Defence of Lucknow’ and ‘Lucknow’, and the I.G.S. Medal with clasp for ‘Persia’. Sold with copied service papers for both men which show their medal entitlement.
