The Gordon Highlanders, an officer’s post 1881 shoulder belt plate, rectangular burnished gilt back plate with silver overlays, a large star of the Thistle with pinned mounts Sphinx/Egypt, Tiger/India and central device being the title ‘Gordon Highlanders’ with thistle spray base, and in the middle the stag’s head and coronet, usual hook and stud fasteners; The Royal Scots (Lothian Regiment), a large fine quality silver plated piper’s plaid brooch, the plain quoit with similar screw post mounts, a QVC over a circle of thistle sprays, in the centre St. Andrew and his Cross, at the base a scroll ‘The Royal Scots’, the reverse stamped ‘5’ and fitted with stout pin fastener, gilt rubbed on the first item, good condition (2) £100-130
