A large Persian kindjal or qama, the unusually long straight 60cm blade double-edged with deep off-set fullers to either side makers name in arabic, polished dark horn grips mounted with three silver Persian coins one dated 1294 [1877], backstrap formed of silver beading, wood scabbard covered with green stained ass-hide, retaining its large silver locket deeply embossed with Qajar figures, original leather hanging straps having silver finials set with several small Turquise, chape now lacking otherwise good condition £300-350
