Gordon Harry Clark was born in Guildford, Surrey, on 7 November 1886. A Fitter and Electrician, he entered the R.N.A.S. as an Air Mechanic (ET) on 27 June 1916, having previously served in the Royal Naval Division. Based at President II, he served variously at Pulham, Shotley, Westgate, Kingsnorth, Calshot and Hanworth. He was advanced to Leading Mechanic in December 1916 and Petty Officer Mechanic in August 1917. Later taken into the R.A.F. Sold with copied service paper.
