Original green decorated cloth, t.e.g.; first free endpaper inscribed ‘Offered to Mr Woodhouse with the grateful remembrances of James Robertson’; note in the hand of Robertson tipped-in (£25-35)

The tipped-in note reads: ‘Mr Robertson begs Mr Woodhouse to accept the accompanying Nuga Archaeologica as a specimen not of Numismatic but of Lithographic skill, and as an imperfect expression of gratitude for kind attention – Argos, 17 Jany. 1837.’ Woodhouse’s Greek coins were donated to the British Museum
