Adam McEwen was born in Fortingall, Perthshire and enlisted at Blair Atholl, Perthshire. He entered the war as a Lance-Corporal in the 1st Battalion Scottish Horse. As Private 315104 in “B” Company, 13th Battalion Royal Highlanders, he died of wounds on 12 November 1918. The son of Alexander and Janet McGregor McEwen of Annat Cottage, Kinloch, Rannoch, Perthshire. He was buried in the Busigny Communal Cemetery Extension, Nord, France.
