Naval officer’s sword, 1827 pattern, the 79cm pipe-backed spear pointed blade by P & S Firmin, 153 Strand, London, lightly etched with Royal Arms, crowned fouled anchor, etc., regulation solid half-basket guard incorporating crowned fouled anchor device, folding side guard, lions head pommel, fish-skin covered grip bound with copper wire, blue and gold bullion sword-knot, complete with its black patent leather scabbard with three copper-gilt mounts, the top locket with applied embossed makers details, blade a little stained, gilding worn overall £600-650
