A Continental silver hilted hanger circa 1750, the 45cm multi-fullered blade engraved with strapwork and indistinct characters, silver mounted hilt with fluted quillon block, the recurved quillons and small side guard decorated en-suite fluted ferrule and tang button, single piece ivory grip with three silver rosettes, shaped silver pommel and tang button, complete with its brown leather scabbard with matching locket and chape, tip of blade with area of deep pitting, top locket lacking frog stud otherwise good condition £250-300
