British Empire Medal, (Military) G.VI.R., 1st issue, on Lady’s riband bow (M-A-A Phyllis Sanderson, W.R.C.N.S., W-61), together with W.R.C.N.S. lapel badge, silver and enamel, good very fine (2) £300-350
B.E.M. London Gazette 14 June 1945.
The original recommendation states: ‘As Master-at-Arms in the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service Training Establishment for two years, this rating exerted an excellent influence on all new entries. Her ability to convey her own enthusiasm and knowledge, as well as discipline, has contributed greatly to the good conduct of the Service.’
