Private William Wilson, 1st Battalion Cambridgeshire Regiment, was taken prisoner by the Japanese during the Malaya/Singapore campaign. He died on 15 December 1943, aged 28 years, probably one of the 13,000 military prisoner-of-war deaths associated with the building of the notorious Burma-Siam railway. He is now buried in the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Thailand. Sold with original condolence slip.

Private Russell Arthur Wilson, 2nd Battalion Royal Norfolk Regiment, was killed/died on 4 May 1944, aged 27 years. He was buried in the Kohima War Cemetery. Sold with original condolence slip.

William and Russell Arthur Wilson were the sons of William Thomas and Rosa Wilson of Exning, Suffolk. Their father, William, had served in the 2nd Battalion Suffolk Regiment during the Great War.
