The following details were extracted from official Soviet archives (Cell No. 715111, File No. 139, Page 211):
‘Senior Medical Nurse Kadukova has been permanently employed at Evacuation Hospital No. 3810 since September 1941. With her personal example, good work and attitude to the treatment of wounded officers and private soldiers, she has contributed to their recovery. She has also trained 10 nurses for blood transfusion duties and other operations for the treatment of sick and wounded soldiers.’
Maria Julianovna Kadukova was awarded her Order of the Red Star by official decree dated 20 October 1944. Born in 1897, she was drafted for service by the Andreevsky City Military Command, Rostov-on-Don in 1941.
