‘Silver Medal, Certificate of Thanks, and £5 to Francis Little; also Bronze Medal and Certificate of Thanks to Sidney Neal, for a gallant attempt to stop a runaway horse attached to a float in Park Lane, on October 29th, 1917. Unfortunately, Little was struck by the shaft and knocked down, the wheel of the float passing over his body, causing serious injury. Neal was also thrown down but escaped with a few bruises.
