The medal roll states that he was issued with a duplicate Q.S.A. medal.
Sidney George Haddock joined the Royal Navy as an Assistant Engineer on 1 January 1884, becoming Engineer in February 1889. He served as Engineer of Satellite during operations on the River Gambia, west coast of Africa, in February 1894, for the punishment of Fodi Silah, a rebellious slave trading chief (Medal with clasp). Promoted to Chief Engineer in January 1896, and to Staff Engineer (Engineer Commander) in January 1900, he subsequently served as Staff Engineer of Terpsichore during the operations in South Africa 1901-02 (Medal). Haddock retired as Engineer Captain on 24 May 1912.
