The King’s Shropshire Light Infantry, a fine selection of regimental insignia c1896 to present day, headdress badges include a good officer’s early pattern side hat badge silver star with green enamel centre bugle horn KLI and ‘Shropshire’ on circle pin back, a quality officer’s silver/gilt cap badge (671) marked ‘S’ by JR Gaunt London, a similar unmarked example a small beret size in silver plate/gilt, other ranks commence with what is probably the first pattern cap badge in w/m and as per (KK671) but without the KSLI centre (three loop fasteners one missing) a fine quality bi-metal Victorian issue of (671) three loop fasteners, a WWII bakelite issue by Stanleys Walsall, two beret size types in bi-metal and anodised, an anodised beret badge for the Light Infantry Brigade period, an officer’s bullion and embroidered beret badge the Light Infantry and a green cord boss badge with plated bugle horn; Collar badges a fine pair in g/m for the period 1881-1884 the successor pair in g/m an all white metal pair bugle horns with ‘straight’ KSLI within, a Light Infantry Brigade anodised pair, one only osd cap badge size and a pair of officer’s for the Light Infantry silver bullion bugle horns on green cloth; Shoulder titles, a pair of brass ‘Shropshire’ and a similar pair ‘KSLI’, one only w/m KSLI; in cloth a pair of white on red KSLI (with serifs) one only similar yellow on dark green and a pair yellow on dark green (without serifs), a pair of silk with bronze ‘Croix de Guerre avec Palm’ arm badges and a silk cockade for the same, a pair of silk arm badges green square with yellow inner border a red cross and yellow Saxon crown; a KC white metal/enamel association badge; Regiment de Maisonneuve Canada an embroidered s/title and a cast yellow and white metal KC cap, very good overall condition badge (41) £140-160
