Cornelius Riley was born and lived in Brinsop, Herefordshire and enlisted at Herford. Serving with the 5th Battalion Shropshire Light Infantry, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 22 May 1915 and was killed in action on 24 October 1917, aged 24 years. He was buried in the New Irish Farm Cemetery, Ieper, Belgium. Sold with copied research.
