Sold with forwarding box addressed to Mrs M. George of Newton Ferrers, Plymouth, named condolence slip and copied research.
Sick Berth Attendant Selwyn Allen George was killed in action on 17 January 1941 when the Blue Star Line liner Almeda Star was torpedoed and sunk by submarine, 350 miles W of Lewis. All on board - 194 passengers and 166 crew were killed.
