Frederick Warren was born in Stanford-Le-Hope, Essex, in 1897, and attested at Warley for the 1st Battalion, Essex Regiment. Disembarked at Gallipoli on 2 June 1915, he was killed in action on 6 August 1915 whilst serving with “Z” Company, and is buried at Twelve Tree Copse Cemetery near the village of Krithia, Turkey.
