The Nederlandse Nijverheidstentoonstelling, or Nenjito, was organised by a group of Rotterdam entrepreneurs who wished to take advantage of the international attention Holland would be receiving as the host country for that year’s Olympic Games. Between 26 May and 30 September over 1.5 million people visited; the site is now the principal home of Rotterdam Athletics
