British Iron Age, CATUVELLAUNI, Uninscribed issues, gold Quarter-Stater, Westerham Geometric type, traces of ‘three men in a boat’ design, rev. tree-like motif, three angular bars below, 1.28g/1h (CCI 02.0254, this coin [incorrectly identified on CCI]; ABC 2451; BMC –; VA –; S –). Struck on an irregular flan with areas of weakness, a very pale yellowish gold and fine for issue, very rare £120-£150
