Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Sceatta, Primary series A1, bust right wearing jewelled radiate crown, large square nose, broad curved torso below, otiic in front, short row of pellets and ‘oao’ behind, rev. debased standard containing ‘ttii’ arranged around central annulet, pseudo legend around, 1.12g/12h (cf. SCBI Abramson 36-8 [of differing style; Abramson 3-40; S 775). Very fine, well centred, the bust of unusual style £120-£150
