Edward Reynolds was born in Catford, Kent, and attested for the 8th Hussars, serving with them during the Great War on the Western Front from 20 October 1915. Transferring to the 1st Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles, he died of wounds on 13 February 1917, and is buried in St. Marie Cemetery, Le Havre, France.
