Memorial Plaque (Wilfred Henry Bland) very fine £70-£90

Wilfred Henry Bland was born in Blackpool, Lancashire, in August 1897. He was a Miner by occupation, and his parents resided at 3214, L. St., Vancouver, Washington, U.S.A. Bland served during the Great War with No. 1 Tunnelling Company, Canadian Engineers on the Western Front. Sapper Bland was killed in action on the Western Front, 31 July 1917, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
