Roger-Bloche, male bather welcoming an infant into the water from its mothers’ arms, buildings and factories behind, rev. elevation of the Expo’s French pavilion, tablet at right, un-named, edge impressed bronze and with foundry mark, 55 x 47mm, 62.36g (Storer –; Brettauer –; cf. The exhibition, organised by philanthropist Karl August Lingner (1861-1916), proprietor of a then well-known brand of mouthwash, opened on 6 May 1911; by the time it closed on 31 October 1911 it had been visited by 5.5 million people
