Sco.Bord.) initial 'D' on medal and also on medal roll; INDIA GENERAL SERVICE 1895-1902, 3 clasps, Relief of Chitral 1895, Tirah 1897-98, Punjab Frontier 1897-98 (1450 Colour Sergt., 2nd Bn. K.O.Sco.Bord.); MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL, E.VII.R. (C. Serjt., K.O.S.B.); KHEDIVE'S STAR, undated, mounted court style for display, some light contact marks and edge bruises, otherwise about very fine and better (5)

D.C.M. recommendation submitted to the Queen, 9th July, 1898, for operations in Tirah 1897-98.

A total of 32 D.C.M's were awarded for Tirah, including 6 awards to the King's Own Scottish Borderers.
