Thomas Twyman was born in Stepney, London, and attested there for the 2nd Battalion, London Regiment. He served with them during the Great War on the Western Front, and died of wounds on 13 May 1917. He is buried in Vraucourt Copse Cemetery, Vaulx-Vraucourt, France.
