Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, E.II.R., 2nd issue, suspension bar, Somaliland Scouts, unnamed, extremely fine and excessively rare £300-400

According to records at the Public Record Office, 10 medals with the suspension bar worded ‘Somaliland Scouts’ were ordered from the Royal Mint in 1954. British Somaliland ceased to exist shortly afterwards and this, therefore, is probably the rarest variety of this series.
